We didn’t start out as irrigation experts. In fact, when we first landed in New Zealand as backpackers, we barely knew cows had four teats (true story).
But farming has a funny way of grabbing you. What began as a few casual jobs turned into 14 years of dairy farming - including contract milking here in Canterbury and even a stint back in Brazil.
We loved the lifestyle, the fresh air, the community. But after years of early mornings and milking sheds, it was time for something new.
That’s when Orari Irrigation came up for sale. It ticked all the boxes: still connected to farming, still outdoors, and still about solving problems for good people. In July 2023, we jumped in boots and all, and we haven’t looked back.
